St Joseph

I just wanted to share some of my thoughts regarding St Joseph. I could not talk then because I had suffered of heart attacks and my Dr has advised me from talking at length or from any kind of physical exertion
Many spoke about the virtues and character of St Joseph.
My take on him is just one point…….
Joseph was an extraordinary ordinary person.
The Bible records that when Joseph came to know of Mary’s whom he loved very much) pregnancy. What mental turmoil he underwent . He was a righteous man and according to the Jewish Mishnah he had to divorce her publicly and she and the baby Jesus in her womb would have perished by stoning to death. But Joseph loved Mary his betrothed wife so much that he decided within himself to put her away silently to honor the Jewish law and also to save Mary and the child. Because of him we are able to celebrate Christmas and obtain salvation.
Joseph was righteous and chivalrous to his Lady love.
